Yesterday, picked up Prof. Amit Bubna’s entire Jazz collection. This includes artists like Brian Setzer, Charles Mingus, Charlie Hayden & Pat Methany, Charlie Parker, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Harry Connik, John Coltrane, Joshua Redman, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Nat King Cole,Sonny Rollins, Steely Dan and Thelonius Monk.

The site Jazz for Beginners gives a good intro to what artists one should start with. Do check it out too.

Currently listening to Thelonius Monk.

Arun Man,

Did you know you can use Google to search for MP3s? Try the following as a search string:

intitle:”Index of /” mp3 John Coltrane

and google will return quite a few pages with the John Coltrane MP3s. Try and find “A Love Supreme”.

Cheers,
D.

Wow, that’s pretty cool. A great way to look for mp3s, must say, given the huge number of public university pages.

Thanks dude!! šŸ™‚
